Dear: 2008 IRPS Author/Presenter

Please find on this web page the Author’s Kit Files for your paper that you will be presenting at the 2008 IRPS in Phoenix. This kit provides you with instructions for creating electronic files of your manuscript and instructions for visuals for platform presentations and poster presentations.

There are basically two stages to preparing a paper for IRPS. The first is writing the paper itself, and the second is preparing the paper for presentation. The full manuscript is due to the reviewer by January 14, 2008 and the final paper (black-ink hard copy and IEEE Xplore® compatible electronic portable document file, pdf) must be received by our publications consultants (SAR Associates, 301 North Madison Street, Rome NY 13440) by February 25, 2008 in order to be included in the published proceedings (printed, CDROM, and IEEE Xplore®) and be presented in Phoenix.

The 2008 IRPS proceedings is being copyrighted and platform presentations will be recorded for the Virtual 2008 IRPS DVD. The IEEE copyright form and the recording authorization form (not required for poster presentations) must be completed and returned with your submission by February 25, 2008 to SAR Associates. We cannot publish any work in the proceedings without the hard copy of the signed copyright release form. Please email (to irps@twcny.rr.com ) biographies of all the authors/coauthors of papers by February 18, 2008 (a week before the manuscript to allow for the organization of the biographies at the back of the proceedings).

All the platform presentations are to be done via digital projection using Powerpoint files. The Audio-Visual instructions from Ennis Ogawa, the Audio-Visual Chair, are also posted on this web page. Remember, the final presentation artwork deadline is March 31, 2008 and your draft presentation artwork is due to your Session Chair for review by March 3, 2008.

Note that the Author Kit and the A-V Instructions URL is http://www.irps.org/authorkit.htm. If you have any questions, please call your Session Chair/Paper Reviewer or me at moore@omniprobe.com or Roy Walker (SAR) at 315-339-3968 (email: pub_services@irps.org).

        Sincerely,
        Thomas M. Moore
